Historic vehicle cataloguing
This is the administrative procedure through which a vehicle is catalogued and registered as a historic vehicle, recognising its antiquity and exclusivity, thus facilitating the conservation of a historic automotive asset.
This procedure is regulated by Royal Decree 1247/1995, of 14 July, approving the Historic Vehicle Regulation, amended by Royal Decree 920/2017, of 23 October, regulating the technical inspection of vehicles, regarding the antiquity of the vehicle and the frequency of periodic technical inspections, in addition to agreements in terms of historic vehicles later adopted.
Vehicles that are a minimum of 30 years old and whose state of preservation and faithfulness to the original model is good, as well as vehicles included in the General Inventory of Spanish Historic Heritage Assets or collector vehicles that, given their characteristics, unique nature or scarcity, are worthy of being included in the historic vehicle system. The vehicles presented must comply with the indicated requirements and be in optimal conditions of upkeep and/or repair to be catalogued.
We’re certified as an official laboratory for historic vehicles in the autonomous region of Aragón and we are also accredited, or our reports are accepted in the regions of Navarre, La Rioja, the Basque Country, Valencia, Asturias, Castile La Mancha and Extremadura.
